Destiny Renegades Cinematic Trailer


This is a cinematic game trailer I spent a lot of time working on with the Arc Creative team. I did some environment layout work, asset work (warlock character and some props), and a lot of lighting work.

One of my main contributions was the warlock character (female with the long tan cloak), including modeling work and texturing/shading. For the model, I worked off a provided concept model and retopologized it with detail and clean edges. I added a zbrush sculpt to the cloak for the displacement, and I textured the full character in Substance Painter. I did the look-development in Houdini for V-Ray, adding extra details like fuzz to make the character high quality for the close-up shots like the belt shot. The warlock is the character on the far right in the image below.

For the lighting, I did all of the desert and dredgen bael shots at the end of the cinematic, and I helped with some of the indoor shots as well. All shots were lit in Houdini and rendered with V-Ray.
